Default John Deere 3.9L Turbo Diesel

Anyone heard anything about people throwing these in a jeep? I have seen a couple pop up on CL in the last couple months. Just wondering they seem to be about the same as the 4bt but significantly cheaper.

john deere 4239 or 239ci 4 cylinder turbo diesel, it is a 3.9L around 120 hp, similar to 4039, 4276, 219, and 276 engine

the first one I saw on CL was 1,500$ needed a rebuild. The second one I saw was 2,500 all rebuilt and painted....BUT I looked for it in google and farm supply/tractor repair places are selling them for 3-5k so, Buying it from a store would be the same as buying a 4bt from a private seller.
