jk front springs on a xj?

hey guys new to the site. someone told me that jk front springs will fit a xj and give it lift. anyone tried this? just wondering if it works and how much lift you get from it.

only if they are jk lift springs. v8 grand cherokee up country coils will give you 1.5in

Not to sure on that one. I was told my front springs were TJ lift springs and sure enought I just tried one day and got a little over 3 inchs. I would measure them. Welcome to CF

Get rough country springs. If your just looking for coils rough country sells just coils I think like $150 or $200 for both

if you got 3in out of them they were probably 4in lift springs for a tj

i think the greatest dumb lift spring i ever used was a rear spring out of a 72 chevelle malibu 396. neted 3.75 on an xj. rode like *****

Lol how do ***** ride? Jk. I got the rc 4.5 in lift with the leaf pack, wonderful offroad but rough as all get out on the road.

why wouldnt jk front coil springs fit on an xj? is it diameter? i have been looking for info on this all morning and cant find anything about it. i acquired a set of springs from a jk for free and they look like they will add 1 more inch to my 4.5 inches??? as far as i can tell they look like they will fit but dont wanna waste the time to see if they do or dont before doing some research. any more help would be great! thanks
