Hmm... Mine has bald tires and pretty much everything steering related needs to be replaced, but it still does good on the highway. Besides getting pushed everywhere by the wind..
Are your tires balanced good?
What kinds of problems are you having on the highway? We need more detail...

Mine makes a low quiet growling noise above 70 and will shake a lil if i hit a big bump at that speed. Before my front axle swap the old d30 had all the control arm and spring mounts rotted away so it would shake like hell only being held on by the swaybar!

ill just list the stuff i have done so far. ive replaced the steering stabilizer, all driveshaft u joints. had the tires balanced about 4 times ( no one knows why it shakes) ive replaced the steering gear box. im doing the sway bar bushings tomorrow because they are almost non existant, and im almost positive i need an alignment.

jeebus! stop throwing money at the damn thing. figure out the root cause and fix it.
Have someone turn your steering wheel back and forth quickly (engine OFF) while you look, feel, and listen to the front end components. Track bar, drag link, tie-rod, TRE's, upper and lower control arm bushings.
As has been stated 10000000 times. Steering stabilizers are band-aids that mask problems with your steering system. A properly aligned and well tuned steering system does not require a stabilizer. Take it off and throw it in the trash.

Could it be explained as a side to side shake, or up and down? maybe its a bent/out of balance or something? (dont know if thats possible, just throwing out ideas)

it feels like its under my seat and its a back and forth shake. some times u can feel it pulsate but thats more like a vibe. i dont know if its in the rear or the front. kinda think its the rear.
