Today i put on a back yard intake (pvc, spectre cone filter,),and cut my exhaust off from the cat back including the cat.put a cherry bomb and a turn out before the rear tire. Very happy and surprised at how good it sounds and performes.had to tell somebody who cares, the wife just says thats nice honey.

That's the same reaction i got from the woman when I installed my exhaust, lol. I was like "Doesn't that sound awesome!" she was like "That's nice", haha. I'm not so keen on the cat removal but all in all, it's cool to hear that you have added some performance to your XJ.

Hey that works, my cat was rattling so I pulled it and ran just a thrush muffler for a couple months. I kinda grew tired of the sound and ended up springing for a magnaflow cat and a complete catback exhaust for the sound I wanted. But it's all about the way YOU want it to sound, and if you like it then rock on bro!
