Default Jeep Xj lift!

I just put on a 3" rough country add-a-leaf kit on my 2000 jeep xj classic. Instead of doing the add-a-leaf i went ahead and put on some 3" blocks. Well before i did the lift it saged bad in the back because preowner hauled a heavy boat everywhere. But not it sits really high in the back. What could it be? New shocks came with the lift kit.

Any reason u didn't install the add a leaf? Its fairly straight forward.

Because i am limited on time with working on the truck and i'm doing the cheapest route plus i had some 3inch blocks laying around. I'm just afraid of it sagging down on me again because it didn't look good with the back lower than the front. Is blocks bad?

if you bought the aal then you should have just put it on, i put mine on my rig the only reason it took me a while was because i broke some rusted bolts for the shocks, the leafs were the easyest part in my book, would have taken just as long to put the new leaf in as it did to add the block, if you wanted the cheapest route possible then you should have went with bastardpacks. when doing a lift theres no such thing as not enough time, u gotta make sure u have all the time in the world, or atleast have a backup car so u can work on it a little time eachday

Is that from flexing or offroading a lot?

Thats from using a block.

Dont use blocks for anything more than normal on road driving. Dont use blocks if your springs sag.

AAL is easy and quick.

there is a kid i know that used hockey pucks drilled out in the center for a body lift on his dodge... i felt ghetto enough putting a 2"bb on my xj... with at least a 235/75 its looks ok. but id love to put some 31's on. it seems that just waiting for spring, and doing a complete kit from rustysoffroad would be legit. this way i cut down on dealing with too little clearance. ive gotten a couple of good suggestions for working around the clearance issue, but they seem to be band aid's more than a solution. but, as i have yet to have any experience with suspension, other than helping my mechanic buddy do the bb and reading all i can, your input is totally welcome!! PM me if you have done this before and wanna share. thanks!!
