Default Jeep XJ Front Doors Wont Lock?

As title says. I got a 99 xj and front doors won't lock. Manually or with power. It locks the rear doors, and you can hear the front doors attempt to lock but nothing happens?

when you say manually do you mean with the key from the outside or by pressing the button (not the power switch) on the inside?

Both. I've tried the key. But even pressing the manual button it just seems firm and not wanting to move.

The rod behind the panel is most likely bent

There's multiple rods. Since it won't lock anywhere I'd say that the lock mechanism is stuck somehow. Pull the door panel off and you'll see rod that runs from the door lock button to the lock mechanism. I'd pull the whole mechanism out and check it out. I'd imagine the issue is going to be obvious.

I'll see if I can fit the xj in the garage. Don't see this rain letting up.

The door lock rods were bent! All 4 lock now!! (Rear hatch link is broke. Po used a shoelace to open the door) I cut the shoelace and you can only open it from the inside. That's the next fix.
