Default Jeep won't stay running

I have a 98 Cherokee sport with the 4.0 and I know it has a cracked head so I put a sealant in it and it still won't stay running after it is running if I hit the gas lightly it wants to die. If I stomp on the gas it will run but once it gets up to temp it wants to die. I don't know if that is the cracked head or what excactly it is. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Im new to the forum but maybe I can help. Does the motor have a IAT sensor? Intake air temp, if it does it should be mounted by airbox assem. Check that. If the crack is THAT severe intake air is being lost or larger amounts are being sucked in. Have you ever tried smoke? Not what others may think...LOL. Introduce some smoke thru the airbox inlet and see if the smoke leaks out somewhere, like a vac hose or port. Hows fuel pressure, plugs etc...keep it basic until it doesnt become BASIC anymore.

And why not ? That's why theres a way to check running issues and help from buying parts that are not needed.

Might rent them at auto parts you do get all money back when you return them ,or spend all kinds of money on parts guessing and still don't run . Checking codes will either tell you if its a ecm controlled issue or its not.
