Check for any codes...mine takes a few seconds to start in the morning, too. You should switch your key to the "ON" position for about 3-5 seconds to let the fuel pump prime, that may temporarily help in some cases. Personally, I don't like to start in the morning until I have coffee...maybe your Jeep is the same

Try to wiggle your fuel injectors they could possibly be frozen or, they could be clogged try to get injector fluid if not try to change your fuel injectors
I had a dirt bike that did this and it was loss of compression. Just kicking it over wouldn't get the engine turning over fast enough. But with 6 cylinders I couldn't imagine you lossing that much compression unless your timing slipped. How does it dun besides that?

NVM not timing but a cold start issue so its a sensor issue since it starts at night but not in the morning like after it starts. there is a sensor that will keep it from starting when its cold but not when its hot. look into the sensor that does that. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...iagnostics.htm
sounds like a messed up 02 sensor

Had the same problem on my jeep. But when it was wet out in the morning. I thought it was the cps because it would just crank and crank. Then I had a code for a o2 sensor after the cat. Found that the cat was hollowed out and there was half an o2 sensor glued to the side of it. So I'm guessing that it was shorting the pcm out with the water and such. But before that I also replaced the cap rotor and wires and that def helped. Starts everytime.

You are likely experiencing "fuel pressure drop" over time. Then in the morning, you have no fuel pressure for a quick start.
You really should do some fuel pressure TESTING with a gauge to confirm this. There are specs in the FSM outlining allowable pressure drop, etc.
Try the "poor mans prime" to help you confirm this. It is an easy quick and dirty test that can tell you a lot...............
1. Turn key to ON position (do not crank the engine!). The fuel pump will energize and run for approx. 2 seconds, then turn off.
2. Repeat the above twice more
3. NOW try to start the engine. If the engine starts quickly using the above technique, you have VERIFIED that you have fuel pressure drop.....then
you would need to figure out where. Could be leaking back due to a checkvalve problem on the pump, but theoretically the pressure can drop anywhere between the tank and the injectors.

If the hard start only happens when engine is stone cold, this is unlikely to be the computer.
My money is still on fuel pressure drop.
Did you perform the "poor mans prime" that I recommended? Takes 30 seconds and if that works, you have CONFIRMATION of fuel pressure drop. Try it.
