OK. The Jeep has been running great for a few months now. No problems at all. Got to work yesterday with no problems, jeep started like normal. when I went to leave, wouldn't start. Its cranking but won't start. I smelled the exhaust and it smelled like gas, so I know I'm getting fuel. So I thought it might be the coil. When to autozone to get a new one. Put it in and same thing. Like I already said, there was nothing wrong with it. Wasnt overheating and hadn't been making any weird noises. Please help ASAP. It's me daily too.

First pull the airbox lid and inspect it for oil. If it has an oil soaked filter then leave the filter out and see if the beast will start. If it starts then your blowby has reached the point of needing some care. If it still wont start then unplug and replug the CPS plug seaveral times and then try again. If no start still then let us know and we can try a few other things.

At the plug, if i was to guess I would guess also at the CpS, They fail too often.
Make sure you do have gas tho, although you may smell it at the exhaust it may not mean you have fuel, push the valve on the fuel rail in while someone turns on the ignition for you, you should get a good stream of gas coming out, i would check this before you spend any more money

Sorry to Chime in but I have a lil knowledge on this.
I have found that it is the plug end of the CPS that fails often. For some reason the connection gets some dust in there are something and just starts degrading to where you don't get a good signal and the vehilce never fires. Once you unplug it and plug it back in a a few times the truck will fire right up if that is the problem.
Atleast both my jeeps have acted this way. Black waggie won't start at all.
Tan waggie will run will rough and skip.
When this happens i will unplug and replug the CPS back up and won't have problems for a few months.

Unplug it and clean it with some contact cleaner and then put a little dielectric grease in it and plug it back in. I clean and regrease about once a year with my spring maintainence schedule.

They do get weak. You might just get one to keep in your spares. I have never replaced the one on this jeep but carry a spare in case. I have replaced the other ones on previously owned Jeeps.
