my cps went at 90k. I would say if you spray some starting fluid in the tb and crank it without it stumble starting its cps time. before you start replacing things like the coil and the dist. pickup, dive into the cps. I wasted like $120 before taking down the cps. I replaced mine from under the hood with a box wrench, it was kinda hard. I hear others go from underneath.

 

you probably know now that is was or will eventually be crankshaft positioning sensor, had same trouble.

 

No spark to coil on my 94 jeep cherokee country, I got my cherokee towed to the shop to get worked on. They changed the crankshaft position sensor and it started it up. I brought it home and parked it then went to start it up and nothing. I got it towed to the shop again. When it got dropped off it started up. Then after a few hours of testing it at the shop it stopped working. On the computers it says that it is the crankshaft position sensor but we used a bran new cps and we are still having the same problem. The shop is puzzeled and so am i. Can anyone give me any ideas???

 

try a different one? I have bought junk everything from the walmart of auto parts.
