Ok so I'm looking at getting a 96ish xj and was told it has a trans issue I have a 90 so I'm no stranger I just need to know if its worth getting
The problem is that while driving it has a tendency to go in to limp gear mode what can I check for to fit or do I need to just swap the trans I can get a trans from a pullapart for under 60 bucks with warenty my ? Is it worth 450 bucks

If the truck is 450$ and the only thing bad is the trans, its worth it.

I bought my 94 Grand Cherokee with a trans problem for $650. A tranny from pick n pull is 142 so its one hell of a deal.
