Jeep Seat Replacement Question
Hey guys, got a quick question for you Cherokee guru types. I have an opertunity to pick up a set of mint condition Special edition Columbia power seats out of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my little pepe. Here are some pics of the seats.
And here is my 2000 XJ.
Will these seats fit for sure? It's about a 7 hour drive for me to go pick them up, so I need your expert opinions here. Good karma will flow to those who assist me.

7 hours is a long way, so I don't want my answer to be the "end all" answer. I just took my front seats out of my 96 XJ a few days ago to clean underneath, and the mounts look preeeetty similar. The only thing that worries me is that in the pictures you posted, the front mounts look like a squared C-shape. When I took mine out, i'm pretty sure the front mounts were just L shaped.

Thanks for the reply. Anybody else have anything to add?
If you guys tell me that they fit, I will document the install and share it with you guys via video and photos to repay the favor.

So I can't be 100% positive but I am pretty sure that any seat out of a zj or wj (the jeep you are getting those from) would fit. What you do is remove your stock seats and take the bracket from your seats and bolt them on to the bottom of the new seats and install them right back in. I've been looking for a nice set of grand Cherokee seats for my xj for a long time now!

Yeah, the price is right. $400 for the set. I just want to hear from a Cherokee expert that definitely, a 2004 grand Cherokee seat will bolt into the mounting hardware of a 2000 Cherokee XJ. I've searched around and found that grand cherokee seats from late 90s GCs bolt up to the mounting bracket. But I haven't been able to verify specifically that a 2004 GC seat will work in a 2000 XJ.

Loooooooks like you need to get your jeep dirty, but that's just me. Maybe the mud will act as a super glue and your seats will mount like magic. If you have any skill with hacking metal and welding or bolting you can retrofit easily...

Just double checked this topic (I posted in it first). I realized those front mounts don't look like they're a squared C-shape, The bottom part is actually just a shadow.
Those will 99% fit.

Any 93-98 zj seats and any 99-04 wj seats will fit in a 97+ xj, u just need to unbolt that wj/zj seat bracket and bolt ur xj's bracket up to the new seats, thats for the front, the back seats take a little more work but is 100% do'able
