jeep runs rough/ high voltage
i have a 96 4.0 and it will run high till its at temp then idles rough it bogs alot when going in too gear. also the voltage goes above 14 volts often. it goes well below it when i run the ac. voltage regulator? i have no codes and im sure where to look

Not a lot of info to go on, but maybe this will get you started. For the high idle, I'd start by looking for a vacuum leak. You might also want to clean your IAC and throttle body, and a good tune-up (plugs, wires, cap & rotor) wouldn't hurt either, since you said the hot idle is rough.
As for the charging issue, are you relying on the stock gauge, or did you verify with a voltmeter on the battery? You can have your battery and charging system tested at any parts store. Many problems are fixed by cleaning the connections on the battery cables, and all ground points in the engine compartment.
