Hey, now there's a thought. Here I have all sorts of hassles with the new fuel separating. Stored, moisture gets in the ethanol and it separates. It looks like you have water in a clear jug, but it burns and kills dandelions. A real pain in a generator, lawn mower, water pump, roto-tiller, and everything with a carb bowl for it to "lay "in.

Leave no trace. Them electrons ain't picky at 35KV (they do jump the air at the plug gap)

Somebody Help!

Hey! Glad you got it. So it was plugs or the IAT. Well done!

OK Idk. Your PCM might be doing an injector pulse-width for a lower pressure. I really don't know. I mean a longer pulse for lower pressure which might make it rich. (sooty). If the pressure were high.

i have a adjustable map sensor, i turned the pulse down a bit, maybe not enough?

WOO HOO!!! So glad I could help!
It always amazes me how much difference that little bugger makes when it gets all dirty or fails. I came on here today all ready to suggest the O2 sensors if you hadn't figured things out yet since it seems related to temps and the warm-up cycle, but you fixed it so even better!

A link for adjustable MAP > http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoMAPsensor.htm

No no idea really. Of course black sooty plug's is too rich. Nobody is "chiming in" on you having 49Lbs pressure on your OBD-I, 95.

My general take is to have it within parameters that the O2 sensor can trim. I picked up 1 mpg matching my injectors closer to the default rate, so when my renix is in open loop it's not extra rich. (which slows warming).

10 Lbs extra, (49, not 39), is sort if allot, 25% more. Again really IDK. I do doubt the 02 has the power to trim that much. Those of us that can't sniff/test the exhaust might just have porcelain color on the plugs. "carmel" went away with today's gas. Mine are pretty white/off white.

Now I'm curious. Do you happen to know the numbers on your injectors? 280 something, or what...
