Jeep randomly turns off when driving.

it's also worthwhile to wiggle your battery cables and see if you can get the engine to shut down. this is with the Jeep parked in a safe area. wiggle other ignition cables too. i had a loose wire in the power distribution box and it made the Jeep shut down randomly. the CPS wire should be by the back of the engine, on top near the fuel rail. find it and inspect it. look for burnt wires or bad splices.
be careful when you are doing this. watch out for the mechanical fan and pulleys. don't get your fingers caught or burnt.

Engine: 4.3L with headers and full 3" exhaust system
It varies. They can fail gradually and begin to cause a miss, or periods where the engine won't run, then cool down and work again or just quit all together
