Default Jeep overheating.,

96 Cherokee, auto 2wd.

Was driving heard a pop as i turned didnt think anything of it. drove a mile stopped and water was leaking out the left side by the bumper. opened the hood and water was by the air box. the car was running at prob 240. Started driving and it went back down to about to 205. and later it went lower, stopped at the house and it went back up past 210. opened the cap and put more water in, no more leaking, that second fan isnt coming on tho....

Any ideas where the water came from and why isnt my fan coming on.

Left side being the drivers side or passenger side? If drivers side all you have is cap popping from to much pressure and lower hose. If passengers side you have much more options.

If it had this serious of a leak, a comprehensive inspection with a light should tell you where it came from. Leaks can come from all kinds of places; you must put in your time and resolve it immediately. Overheats are VERY hard on the engine, particularly the cylinder head.
