Jeep over heats on the trails?
Okay so i have a 90 jeep cherokee laredo xj, after it has been running a bit in runs at about 220-230 and it starts to over heat and i will let it cool back down.
Now i want to try to get this fixed but i dont really want to start buy new parts and really put the $$ into it, it has a brand new water pump.
I really just want to start by maybe flushing out the whole system and seeing if there is something clogging it, How do i flush out the system.

were you running the a/c? that will make it overheat quickly at a slow speed.
otherwise, check your clutch fan.

Remove both top rad hose and heater hose from t-stat cover and bottom rad hose from water pump. Stick a garden hose in the heater hose, then in the nipple (heater hose) on the t-stat cover, then in the top rad hose.
