hey whats up fellow jeepers im new to the forum and want to know if you guys have any specs and pix of homemade cold air intakes, and 4.0l throttle body swaps onto the 2.5l.. and possibly more info on how to squeese more power out of my 2.5l.. it has a 3'' lift and 31s with a glasspack and cut exhaust (no down turn on tailpipe).. thx for the help..

i bought a piece of tubing, and a filter from autozone and just put it on the stock hose, and made "mounts" in the stock airbox(it just sits snug in there). also put a little baby filter on the stupid hose that put oil all up in my stock air intake, works/sounds great

have a k&n that came off the turbo of my boat. Fits on my fathers 7.3 intake. With plastic pipe in place of ribbed section. Also I have an do bored throttle bodies. 50+ shipping. Also heat wrapped haeder an flowmaster. Also hood vents are helpfull

I'm pretty sure the 4.0 throttle body goes right on the 2.5L. Get one from the junkyard and bore it out. It tapers down to 55mm at the bottom section, so just bore that and make sure you don't sand anywhere near the butterfly plate. Buff it with a polishing wheel to remove all the dust and it should be perfect. Then toss a CAI on it and it should be a little more peppy.

thx guys for all the help umm i started tonight on my CAI tonight but of corse i ran into some probs like the template tht i got off of here forgot where is for a 4.0l which has way less room than my 2.5l so now tommarow night its on to the remaking of my template... i think tht im goint to mabey have it powdercoated red if my buddy has some but if not gloss black.... ohh i used a mini air filter on the vent tht runs into the air box from the valve cover...... if u have any more info on mods for the 2.5l plz let me know....umm any one have any pics or detailed wright ups on the 4.0l throttle body swap...

yup so i got my airintake done who wants to see it now i just need my 4.0l throttle body and spacer so tht i can do my throttle body swap....ill post my pics...i used a lil air breather for the vent on the valve cover, a air filter from addvanced auto, and a pice of 18 GA steel red and black rattle cans and a pice of 3'' stock ford f350 exhaust pipe off of dads old truck... made template out of foam boad tht i got for free it cost me like 51.63 for every thing tht i had to buy i had the steel and pipe i bought the rest.... here are my pics
