Jeep missing but already had a tune up done??? Any suggestions?

Hi I own a 99 cherokee. Just had a tune up done around 5 months ago.. it was fine until the past week or 2. It's missing and sputtering while idling mostly. Thinking it could be the ignition coil... any other suggestions?

I'd check cap, rotor, and wires before suspecting the coil. Even if changed during the tuneup defects are possible in new parts.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad injector.

Good point! I was thinking ignition since he mentioned the tuneup, and as it happens today I had a car (not my XJ) start sputtering and dying on me due to an ignition problem.
