jeep jerks when accelerating
automatic grand cherokee,4.0 l6,2wd,158,000 miles on it
When i accelerate even when i barely touch the pedal there is a slight jerk, and a harder jerk if i floor it.I had the transmission flushed w/filter change 5k miles ago.I also just changed out the plugs too.Helped a little, but it still jerks from 1st to 2nd gear changes, 3rd shifts fine.

Could actually be a misfire, does it sound like it misses when it happens, or just a slip? Worse when it is hot? Ever hard to start when hot? Just wondering if you have any other symptoms with it... You may also think about posting this in the grand cherokee section to see if anyone else has similar problems. Somewhere along the way, the grand received a different tranny. I had a '95 with a 318 and occasionally, it would miss and it would make it feel as if it was not shifting correctly. The reason that I look that direction is that you said the plugs helped.
