Jeep doesnt downshift
Alright so I've been having this "issue" for awhile. When I am driving and I press the gas pedal to the floor the jeep doesn't downshift and accelerate quickly. For example, I'll be going 50mph then I will step on the gas pedal and it won't downshift. The engine just "roars" louder and slowly accelerates. Transmission does not seem to be slipping at all. What's weird is sometime it will downshift, but most the time is doesn't.

That is controlled by your Throttle Position Sensor and Transmission Control Unit.
TPS can be tested. tCU connectors can be refreshed. http://cruiser54.com/?p=58

I agree with cruiser54, but a less common issue I have seen/experienced is the transmission mount sheared off causing all sorts of shifting issues.
