Default Jeep Cherokee XJ won't crank

Yesterday I was driving on the highway and I gassed it to the speed limit and I noticed it lagged. (You could hear it and then it was silent and you could hear it again) That was one of my warnings. Warning #2 is when I turned it off and turned it on again it was struggling to stay on and had really rough idle. So I took it home. Today, it turned on fine so I drove it and I went to go shopping and I came back to turn on my jeep and it wouldn't crank at all however all the electronics are working. I've checked the battery. Nothing. It isn't the starter either because I have another working jeep and exchange it. I got a diagnoses and it said P0753 & P0743. I don't know if that's effecting it to crank at all?

During the first warning, did the engine run worse and worse (bogging down) as you slowed down? Or did it only lag as your were accelerating?

It only did that when I was accelerating. And with the rough idle I rev it up a bit and it went away.

Have you tried putting it into neutral and starting it then? Could be a bad NSS for the starting issue. I have similar symptoms. As for the engine being weak, I couldn't tell ya. The only thing I could say is to make sure that your fuel filter is good. Hope this helps a little.

Fuses and grounds. Start there first.

key on in park, you can jump the starter with a screwdriver, red cable to small start wire. i did mine till i got a new starter. the jump is a good starter test.
be careful standing outside, use park brake.

I've checked all the fuses and ground nothing. I put the jeep in neutral and start it that way. Still nothing. The little secret where you do something to the starter with a screwdriver trick is the only thing that starts the jeep. But like I've said I already replaced the starter with a Jeep that was already working. So I don't think it's the starter that's malfunctioning.

I haven't replaced the NSS but I'm going to. I just hope it's something really simple.

No need to replace it without trying to service it first. Most of the time it works. I mean if a girl can do it.............
