Jeep Cherokee Overheating
I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 litre inline 6 high output. I've recently been having problems with overheating when using the air conditioner. It won't happen everyday, but when it does my overheating/low coolant light comes on after several minutes of use with the a/c. Sometimes it will turn on for a minute, turn off for 15 seconds and turn back on. I had the thermostat replaced and I'm still having problems. I'm also going to be replacing the radiator. Any other ideas of why this might be happening?

When you change out the rad. Give the rest of the cooling system a good flushing. Flush the heater core separately from the engine. Now would be a good time to rebuild your cooling system since you're changing out the read you might as well replace the water pump, fan clutch, hoses and belt.
