Gonna take some extensive surgery to put a body lift on a Cherokee since they are unibody. Best of luck on that.
4.5" is the limit without long arms or at least drop brackets. You will need a SYE kit and a new rear driveshaft as well so throw that all into your budget.

I remember reading over on JF about "pro-comp's body lift". That thread was hilarious. Someone even went the distance and drew a picture of a modified xj with a body lift. Funny stuff.

Rough Country is good. They have a sale going on now.

yea realized that soon after posting, feel like a noob.

i opted out on a lift at all right now, and bought a 61inch tv

i did however put 4 new goodyear 235/75/15s on it though, and im gonna beef up the front with a bumper skidplate, and hopefully a nice wench. around here people hit ditches a lot in the snow, and its great money and fun, pullin em out.

Thumbs up

Sure cant beat a 61" TV on a cold winter night. Save your cash and get your lift in the spring if you want You have all winter to think about it!!!

Or just lift the tv. Best of both worlds.

Comcast Suspension Systems.

I dunno what show it was but it was one of those home decorating shows that my gf watched a year or two ago. The guy was doing things out of the norm and made a steel diamond plate tv stand with four mini atv tires/wheels at each corner. Two tires were conencted with a tie rod to steer the stand for ease of moving for cleaning or rearranging. It was made to fit a 54" tv. That's the first "lifted" tv i've seen.

OK UPDATES

first the noise. i checked EVERYTHING, and never found out what was making the noise. however after a 1000 mile round trip to my sisters, and a 1000 mile trip to my freinds house plus all the normal driving around, it stoped making the noise.

LOL

now on to the cooling system! it has issues, to say the very least. so far we have replaced the pressurized tank, 36 bucks, and the water pump 30 bucks, and the thermostat (which i took back out for now), and the serpentine belt, 15bucks i think. leaving only hoses and the radiator yet to replace.
and of course i did all this in 4 inches of snow, at night.

I dont know if were in good shape yet, but i will after this weekend. gonna pick up a T valve and put it in the heater line to burp the air out of the system tonite when wife gets home, and gonna put some bars leaks in this weekend too, incase the radiator has a small leak. HOPEFULLY this spring we can replace the entire system with a 3 core open system.

Nice Jeep. Just bought the same exact one about a month ago for $400. lol. All I can say is I love craigslist. Pretty easy to talk people down on the price from $1000 when theres a bunch of little things wrong that I can fix myself that they dnt know how to fix. Driver door wouldnt open, window didnt work, headliner was falling down, coolant cap kept poppin off, interior lights were blown out, hood release cable handle broke off, needed wiper blades, etc... Ive fixed most of the issues from the junk yard for less than $50. A little rough around the edges I suppose but for the purposes of being a trail beater and the occasional commute, its perfect.

I have a 1990 and a lot of problems were resolved by replacing the u-joints in the drive shafts. They may look okay.. but just the slightest reduction in its ability to rotate and twist in its sockets as needed.. would give you the problem you described. (I had a much more pronounced roar/vibration on another truck too)

Remove the drive shafts and take them to a drive line shop. They should do both for $150.

hubs are auto.. although that was likely already answered..

and I forget your last question.. but there are so many great guys (and gals) on CF that help.. I'm sure your good.

BTW~ you have a Renix motor

good luck

O K

got the radiator replaced this morning, in 14 degree weather. filled system up and drove fine, "i put the thermostat back in as well". parked it, popped hood, no hissing, or spraying, and the hose fells presurized, ive been adding coolent every few minutes, as it lets me.

i made a vid of the ordeal, and uploading it to youtube atm, ill add a link asap.
