Jeep cherokee electrical problems
Hello I am looking for some feedback from people that know about jeep Cherokees. I have a 1999 jeep cherokee sport with some electrical issues. The issues are as follows,
-Both blinkers turn on when I turn on the left blinker.
-Only the right brake light works.
-Windows operate only from master switch.
-Electric door locks are inoperative.
-Secondary electric cooling fan is intermittent.
My first feeling is that i would be the BCM ;but,I would appreciate any feedback.

Hello I am looking for some feedback from people that know about jeep Cherokees. I have a 1999 jeep cherokee sport with some electrical issues. The issues are as follows,

The Multi-Function Switch (Turn Signal/Hazard Switch) may be defective.
-Only the right brake light works.
Does the left tail lamp work? Both the tail and the stop lamps are grounded together at ground G302 (behind the spare tire mount). If there was a bad ground the tail lamp wouldn't work either.
Both the right and the left stop lamps are powered from the same fuse, so the fuse is probably okay.
Have you examined the left stop lamp socket to see if it's corroded? Have you tried a new bulb?
-Windows operate only from master switch.
-Electric door locks are inoperative.
A common problem with your XJ is the wire harness chaffing/breaking where the harness exits the driver's door and enters the body. This could cause your windows and door locks problem. You would need to remove the driver's door panel and inspect the wiring in the door and in the rubber boot.
-Secondary electric cooling fan is intermittent.
When is it intermittant? When the AC is on? If so, the fan is supposed to cycle on and off as the low pressure cycling switch makes and breaks (doing its thing).
