The Jeep Cherokee is one of the easiest vehicles to work on. It is a good platform to learn maintenance on a vehicle. No matter what type of vehicle you own you will either have to pay ALOT of money for maintenance or learn to do it yourself. I am a mechanic so by all means pay me but my RAP Rate is like 100 bucks and hour granted I only see 20 something of that.

 

Okay everyone we seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot. I would love towork on jeep myself but I simply do not have time to because of college.

 

Ur just gonna have to bite the bullet, spend some money/time on the XJ cooling system or else u'll be walking. It's called the School of Hard Knocks/Common Sense. Hope u r within easy walking distance to class. If that's not an option, better buy something with a bumper-2-bumper warranty and free towing.

Proper vehicle maintenance should always be part of ones education. Maintenance is what makes any vehicle a reliable daily driver. Neglect is what kills them at the most inopportune time....including a F-150.
