Default Jeep build sheet question

so i requested my jeep build sheet from jeep because i was wondering if my 97 with a 8.25 had a lsd in it and it just came back with it saying 3.55 gears and a 8.25 axle. if i had an lsd would it tell me on the sheet or no?

Jack up the rear of your jeep so both wheels are off the ground. Now turn one wheel while looking at the other, if it turns in the dame direction you have limited slip, if turns in the opposite direction you don not.

The easiest way to tell if you have a LSd (might not be true 100% of the time) is to look in the glove box. If there is a factory sticker in there saying caution you have and lsd then guess what, you do!

At least thats the case with my 1998 with C8.25, btw I read about the sticker thing on the forum yesterday and checked my glove box this morning and found it!!

I used this VIN decoder to get mine. It's just as accurate as the one from Jeep and results are instant.
