Ok dukie first of all, wut is WOT? i dont understand that. Secondly wut is terminal 4, 6, and 11 for the map sensor? its a 3 prong plug. And lost wut is the engine controller? Are you talking about the ecu? And i have no go ground wires going to the oil dipstick tube. I have one at the back of the firewall above the valve cover that has about 5 wires conected to it and the main engine ground

oh dear...ok

WOT = wide open throttle

The letters are marked on the sensor body "A - B - C" in case they aren't, "C" is the 5 volt supply pin, "A" is the ground.

Engine controller is the computer - it's attached to the driver fender.
Pin "C6" and "C14"

I had a similar problem, when i hit the throttle it'd bog down and make a popping noise, i have the 4.0 and i changed the fuel control valve and it fixed it, may not be your case but it fixed mine.

Default Coolant Temp Sensor

When it starts to go bad, your idle with the engine cold will be at the wrong air/fuel mix (I think), and then as it warms up, begin to approach normal. The resistor inside the brass plug will unfortunately only get worse, as the vehicle will then run hot (too rich - ?) and begin to bake some things (like your catalytic converter if it's old) and some seals... have you noticed a high idle and/or poorer fuel economy (mpg)? While it may require losing some effort to the re-use or changing of your coolant, it is a quick change, and most are $25 - $50.

When they get really bad, you will get backfiring (too much fuel in the mix for the temp), and eventually the engine may never get out of the 'closed-loop' cold running cycle. If you're stuck somewhere, though it may be 'lurchy' (I've done this one...), put it in gear, even if you just move it back and forth ten yards or so (so as to not leave a potentially safe area), and the load from the tranny should eventually kick it into the open loop, and warm the engine.

Or, maybe this is all just from the voices in my head...

Good luck!
