There's nothing wrong with using the point in the first picture. I'd shy against using the LCA mount tho. If you're trying to lift the Jeep by the body I just use the 'frame' rail.
9 times out of 10 I just put the jack directly under the center of the differential.

try rolling it up a bit then back down. if that dont work then have a friend stand on it and roll it down. if that dont work then toss it and get a better one.(those jacks suck)

you don't want to use a hi-lift on stock bumpers
you may have to open the bleeder on the jack to see if it drops down.
you might have to fill it with more jack oil tho once you open it up.
you should just get yourself a decent 2.5 ton floor jack.
as mentioned, just jack it up under the diff for the drivers side, and on the axle tube on the passenger side.
you risk bending the mounts if you jack it up with all the weight on the mounts.
is that how the control arms got bent?

you might have to fill it with more jack oil tho once you open it up.

Your jack probably needs som cleaning and lubrication.
have fixed a few that have been jammed because of rust and dirt, and after a little work and oil they work again.
