Default jack & stands

just wondering if theres a better way to jack up the front of an (2001) xj other than going on either side in the front? where is the best place to put the jack stands for the front and best place to jack it up from? thanks

To get both sides off the ground at the same time i jack on the passenger side of the front diff. right where that little flat circle deal is on the axle tube.

Jack from the axels front and rear, stand on the rails behind the front Control Arm Mounts and Front Rear spring mount.

thank you very much..... i didnt know it was safe to jack from the axle... would putting it on the front diff on the axle work ok to jack it up from?

Yes, only problem is the the diff is off-set in the front, so it wont jack up evenly. What I do in front is jack from under the control arm axel mount and then place my stands, 1 side at a time. In the rear I put the jack under the pumpkin or use hi-lift on the receiver hitch.

thank you that helped me a whole lot more..... i ended up jacking it up from the spot behind behind the control arms on each side on the front then putting the stand right there..... i was thinking it should be solid to jack from there since the stands go there too or should i not jack from there anymore?
