intrument cluster doesnt work in drive

intrument cluster doesnt work in drive
the gas guage, speedo, and odometer will work in park nuetral and reverse but when i put it in drive it all shuts down all the lights work just no gauges has anyone had this problem i cant figure it out and its driving me nuts
