Default internal to external slave question

ok i just got a 97 ax-5 with the external slave on it for my 4x4 swap on my 89 2x4 comanche with the internal slave. i got the whole tranny with the engine connected with it for 250 woot woot anyway. i should have to do anything but bolt the trANNY back in and hook my clutch line up to the external slave right? or do i have to get anything for i throw the tranny back in.

IIRC you need a bigger pilot bushing for the external slave AX-15 (gets pressed into your existing flywheel), and I believe the plumbing for the external slave needs to be routed a bit differently, but not too bad.

Is it this easy to swap an internal slave bellhousing to an external slave?

so just to clarify - you're swapping in an ax-15 or ax-5?

Im not exactly sure what you are asking

But when bolting an external slave AX-15 trans back up to the block, all you have to do is:

line up the clutch
make sure the throwout bearing and fork is installed correctly

then install it.

that should be all.
