Intermittent Wiper Module #56006957AB
During some other work my intermittent wiper module suffered a partial failure and now I have just two speed wipers and no intermittent feature. I have found NO new replacement $56006957AB switches to replace my failed component.Anyone have access to new 56006957AB's?

What year is your XJ? Here's one listed for a '96 but the part # has no AB.

Those are out of stock and will be forever. If you happen to find one NOS jump on it, but I'm guessing you'll pay a pretty penny. Your best bet is getting one at a salvage yard. Some years of Grand Cherokees will interchange, and supposedly they are a bit beefier, but you'll need to do a search to figure that out. If it's just a burned out solder path, it's fixable but won't last long. Honestly, they are a fragile part and were from the start. In 10 years I doubt any XJ will have working intermittent wipers. I've learned to live with two speeds.

The link I posted was to show the OP the part and # he was asking about. When I looked the part up the Standard brand was above Airtex and did not show it out of stock. The Airtex was shown as out of stock though. Been looking other places and even found a cross reference to three or four other brands but no go. Hope I never need one.

My delays are still fully operational and Im 1989. I did the Grand Cherokee module swap been a long time still works great. I think it was drivers side kick panel.

Kinda looks like it might fit. Maybe compare with yours at local auto parts if you can find in stock. Early xjs like mine are alot GM parts.

Hmmmm, anything is possible. I'm not going to pony up $65 to find out though. Interesting though.

The other parts (the IC Mot MC14093BCP and power transistor also look standard), not very complicated.

If anyone is interested I was able to repair my module.
The only electro-mechanical part on the board is the relay which from what I could find is an old obsolete low quality relay. I removed the relay and found a direct drop-in cross Hongfa America P/N HF3FF-012-1ZST which can be purchased from Jameco for under $1 https://www.jameco.com . The other two possibilities are the quad logic gate which is an old P/N but I found a replacement P/N CD4093BE it on Mouser http://www.mouser.com for under $1 and a power transistor that I could not get a good read on it (I suspect that it is a mosfet) but fortunately the relay did the trick on mine.
Be careful, the board is covered in silicone conformal coating which needs to be gently remover from the solder pads and the board is low quality so the pads can lift easily.
I replaced the wiper motor with a Cardone rebuilt one a little over a year ago thinking that it was worn out and now with the module working I come to find out that it is crap!! Time for a trip to the U-PULL-IT.
