Default Intermittent Wiper Issue 99 Cherokee Sprt

When the wiper switch is put in "intermittent", it runs on low instead, no delay at all. Also, the wipers stop exactly where they are when you turn them off. They dont go back to the resting position. The multi-switch has already been replaced and dealership can't find a "module or relay" that would be under the dash. Was told by the dealership that it's most likely a motor. Any ideas?

My '93 does the same thing. I've been told there is a wiper control module, but I've not really looked into it. Interested in any resolution you find, though. Would be nice to have intermittents.

Default Figured it out

Just fixed mine, thank goodness for the parts jeep!

The Intermittent Wiper control unit is located above the lower lip of the driver's side dash. Sitting in the seat, reach up under the dash about 12" to the left of the steering column, where the speaker-looking vent is. The control unit is velcrod to the backside of the lower dash and pulls right out. It'll look like the attached image when you pull it out.

You'll need a new one. One place you can get them is HERE, but they can probably be found cheaper elsewhere. I got lucky, the unit on my parts jeep works fine even though the part number is slightly different. Seems like it's just a different revision of the older unit (PN ended with B4 not B3).
