Intermittent Starting, New engine
2001 Jeep Cherokee sometimes starts sometimes doesn't. Replaced starter, ignition switch same problem. All gauges, lights, radio etc work but starter doesn't turn. I try to start the next day, it starts. I drive to store, get back in doesn't start. Move steering wheel or adjust tilt it starts? Recently had engine replaced.

When this happens, try starting while in neutral and also try wiggling the shift lever while turning the key.
If either of these techniques allows the engine to turn over, you have identified a problem with the "neutral safety switch", a pretty common problem with the 4.0 engine.
Good luck and keep us updated!
