Intermittent engine hesitation
Hi guys, Troy here. This is my first time on CF.com. Thought id post a thread to get specified feedback on this problem since it appears to be more than a general question.
its a '98 Cherokee Sport 4.0L. Every few weeks, it will start to bog out shortly after leaving a stoplight/streetlight. Its already running for awhile at this point, ~20 minutes warmed up. I give it gas, then it will bog for a few seconds, then will hesitate and lose engine power for a second, then regain power again, (all while I am still pushing down the pedal). It will repeat this about 3 or 4 times continuously until it regains to normal about 10-15 seconds later after it first started hesitating. It did this today starting from a whole major intersection and when I passed the intersection, it went about behaving normally and continued all the way home a few miles down the road.
There is also CEL P0138 O2 Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2). That has been there for awhile. Not sure if this is related, as there are a lot of little things screwy. If it is, I hope for added clarification!
Any input, insight or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would start with a good, thorough tune-up and throttle-body cleaning. A couple more tips:
1. Don't call your Jeep a car.
2. Don't call your engine a V6.
They will take offense, and there's no telling where they might leave you stranded.
