Intermittent Clicking Noise Underneath My '99 XJ auto
Symptoms:
So I am hearing a clicking noise from beneath my '99 XJ and am not sure what it is exactly.
Since it's intermittent and only occurs when the car is in gear and moving it's difficult to be accurate. It sounds like it might be coming from the front end, but it's very difficult to locate. In other words, it could just as likely be coming from the rear end... However, it's been occurring more frequently as of late, so I figure I should get some advice as to what the issue is and what a possible solution might be.
Steps to Reproduce:
The noise begins whenever I hit about 10mph and continues until I press the brake, which at that point it stops. Moreover, it doesn't occur when I let the car roll in neutral. Only when it get's up to about 10mph or higher.
NOTES:
I recently replaced the Exhaust manifold, so I know that isn't the issue. Additionally, the clicking was actually occurring prior to my exhaust manifold work....
I have some inclinations as to what it might be, but don't want to "taint" or persuade any thoughts on the matter.
Thank you in advance for your advice and suggestions... I really appreciate it..
