Intermittant wiper blues

They swipe a couple of times and stop in the middle of the windshield. Anyone have any ideas?

Found an easy fix. Go to used car parts and get a new used one. Problem solved!

You can easily check to see if it is the intermittent circuitry by unplugging the connectors from the printed circuit board located under the dash and plugging them together. If the wipers now work properly, you know it is the board and can search for a replacement board on ebay etc. (assuming you want to keep the intermittent feature).

my wipers were slow and the intermittent worked some of the time... replaced the module from ebay... works like a charm!

I also have a 96 with the pin connector wiper arms, tossed a set of j-hook arms from a newer model xj on there.. work even better!
