Intermitent torque converter lock up issue

Intermitent torque converter lock up issue
Hello all!
Been following this forum for tips for a while now I have a torque converter lock up issue with my 2000 Limited Cherokee The torque converter will or will not lock up after 4th gear. When it fails to lock up I pull off the road and shut the jeep off for 5 seconds or so and restart it. It will lock up properly then at 45 mph. I dont have much hair left ! Any ideas? By the way this forum rocks! Thanks for any help this way.
