interior passenger door handle will not open door

interior passenger door handle will not open door
when i try, it does nothing. the handle is about 50percent open... when the door is shut, or open... bascially, if you pulled the handle 50%, thats what it would be like, but the door is not open.
any ideas on this?
i mean my door opens, but hers wont, and she *****es about it.

the cable to the inside handle stretched most likely, youd have to pull that panel off and see. Its just a few screws in the handle and clips. easy

i have no idea what it was. but its not a cable. it had rods. and we took it apart, put it back together and now it works...
