oh and i saw the BFG KO tires

they are pretty nice, im thinking about those.

depending on the condition yes. you will notice a little slower take offs prolly a little slower on hills. nothing to major though. and you can always do minor engine mods to help compensate if you need to.

what are some things that can help a 2.5L

because theres not much..

all ive seen is.. exhaust,gears,a basic intake, and

thats about it.

you pretty much summed it up, there are very few amount of "performance" upgrades available for the 2.5 as it is much less desirable then the 4.0 therefore many people opted not to get it especially in the XJ.

as far as i know there isnt a whole lot of options for you, your best performance upgrades are going to be gears.

way too much fab work and it is very hard to cool a v8 in the XJ. I would forget about that option all together. Instead i would look into swapping in a 4.0L for a much simpler option.

depends on the engine if you get a good decent one than no problems. if you get a bad one than it will need work. a good yard will give some sort of guarantee. you just have to check it out and make sure what your getting is good. junk yards aren't bad there is alot of good parts in those yards.
