Exclamation Interior lights will not shut off?

This is new.
1990 cherokee 4x4 limited.
Trunk light and rear passenger lamps remain on. All doors are shut.
How can I fix this or permanently disable them as to not kill the battery?

Would just cutting the wires do the trick?
I never use those lights.
This must be their revenge...

not trying to be a jerk. but i did the same thing. on your switch( the pull lever to turn on your headlights) it also turns to change how bright or dim you want your lights. If you turn it all the way to the left it will click and that turns on all the inside lights. Make sure you didnt accidently turn it all the way to the left. hope this helps
