Default interior compatibility

Does anyone know the years that interiors can be swapped into. For example, all 97-02 interiors are the same or 90-95, etc.

I'm asking because i'm trying to find a full interior for my jeep. The PO pretty much trashed the interior. I dont want to be going to look at jeeps whom have interiors that wont work.

I have a 1998 classic/sport

Thanks

You will have to use a 97+ interior to swap parts with. As 96 and down are VERY different inside.

It also depends on the color of the interior (if that matters to you). Example: Jeep darkened the grey interior color for the mid 1999 model compared to the 1997-early 1999. I don't know if this applies to all available interior colors, but the grey interiors darkened to the point that they are almost black. I have a 1998 and have recently found this out while looking for interior pieces myself.
