Default interesting....

After returning from lunch at work today i went to get out of my jeep. I turned the key to off and removed the key, then noticed the engine was still running! Just now i went out and turned the key to on, but didnt start it. at just over 100 degree engine temp the electric fan is coming on. i turned the key to off and watched the dash lights dim in sync with the slowing fan.

I read in another post about the fan acting as a generator and keeping things powered up for just a few seconds after shutdown. that seems to be the case here, but where should i look in the fan circuit to find out what my have gone bad?

IF it is the fan, It may be a diode. AFAIK there is one inline to keep this from happening (if its even possible)
Maybe someone will post with some better info.
