So the local pull-a-part ot an 01 XJ as a Cash for Clunkers in a few days ago. I am trying to find out if some parts would be interchangable with my 95 XJ. I have list of things that I would like to replace, or just grab for future use, if possible. Please let me know if any of these parts will work on mine. Thanks!

Alternator, AC Condensor, Seats (front), AC pressure switch, Headlights (mine are horrible like most older XJs) and any other part that yall might think would be good to grab while I am there and if anybody needs anything off of it let me know and I will check to see if it is still on it and try and get it if you pay for the part and shipping of course.


Also, I seem to remember someone saying something about swapping the airbox. Would this be better than mine?

 

The intake manifold would be a good thing for you to grab. It flows better than your stock 95 and will give you a slight horsepower boost and a slight MPG increase.

If it still has the master window control switch on the drivers door, I need one.

 

Thanks for the heads up on the intake manifold. It is only 16 bucks so I might pick it up. I am assuming it is a direct bolt on? Do you know how hard it is to swap? Are there any sensors or anyhting I need to get to make it work?

As far as the master window control switch, I have manual windows so I a not sure what that is but am assuming it is just a 4 panel switch for all the windows? Do you have a 2 or 4 door? I dont know anything about this Jeep other than the year so if it has what you need I will grab it for you. It is only like 6.54 and I could grab one of those flat rate shipping boxes for like 4 or 5 bucks.

 

It is the controls for the windows and power door locks. It is for my wifes 01 4 door. Shipping, who needs shipping? If you think you might be able to make it to Mountainside ORP on the 4th (I know you have the wedding to attend on the 3rd), I can get it from you then.

 

The wedding was another member, but yeah I still plan on going so I will get it to you then.

Do you know if the intake manifold is just a direct swap or if I need anything else off of the 01 to swap it?

 

I have not done the swap myself, but have plans to do so sometime in the future. If I can find a thread on it I will link it for you.

u will need a the right size torx bit and a couple of small sockets. i have an electric impact gun that made it go fast for me but its a simple swap and def worth it looks wise

 

i just took the carpets seats headliner out of an 01 in pull part to try and put into my 94. everything bolted right up except for the front seats. im just gunna mount the back of the seats with a bolt goin straight through the floor then make a mount for the front with peices of angle iorn
