Default Instrument Panel Lights

My headlight switch was going bad so I replaced it with a new one from the parts store. Had dash lights everything was working but I would have to jiggle the switch to get my actual headlights to come on. The new switch fixed that issue but now I have no dash lights, hvac control lights, transmission selector lights or 4x4 selector lights. I have checked fuses all good. Idk where to go from here I've been trying for multiple days multiple hours to try to fix it.

Have you rotated the **** counter clockwise? It has a dim function for the dash lights.

Is a headlight switch hard to do?
Never done one so....
If it were me I would put the old one back in.
Dash light worked with the old one so it might give you a clue if you got a bad switch.

And while your at it if you haven't done so already check the connector for any damage (melting) and that the connector pins haven't been pushed back through the connector.

Yea done threw the old one away....changed it one day didnt drive the jeep at night till a few days later. I've checked the connector...its got a little melting in it but it was like that since I've had it, already had to replace it once, had a parts jeep for a while and I stole it out of it. I have 12v coming to the connector....I guess I'm gonna try another switch only thing I can think of.....doubt all the bulbs blow at one time.

This is why I never throw anything I replace away.
When I first got my '00 I had to replace the master switch cause of the window lock thing
and the window regulator cause it would not stop going up with your finger on the button.
Well the Dorman window regulator I put in 6 years ago appeared to crap out.
Popped the panel, replaced the window switch first with the old one and still did not work.
Then checked for power to the window motor which was good.
Confirmed with plugging in the old regulator which worked.
So.........
