Default Instrument cluster and interior lights not working

Hi-

Just installed a new headliner in the XJ and while putting in the last screw of a sun visor I saw a spark. A few minutes later I noticed the interior light were out and when I started her up nothing in the instrument cluster worked. Any ideas? I'm hoping its just a few fuses.

Yep, you blew a fuse. I thought the gauges were on a different one though. Check your tale-lights. Short of just removing that last screw you might want to find/repair that short.

And welcome to the forum!

I believe the fuse for the instrument cluster is a 15 amp in the power block under the hood. Fuse 9 on the interior says 'instrument cluster' on my diagram, however, I remember it being misleading. At least that is how it is in my 98.
