Instrument Cluster dead

Default Instrument Cluster dead

Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster. I've read through the forums I could find about the cluster, but none hit the head on the nail.

There I was minding my own business, trying to over stretch a CB radio antenna cable past the connections to my instrument cluster. I must have knocked one of the connections loose, because all my gauges are reading zero. I still get lights (i.e. blinker symbol, airbag, cel). I've been poking and prodding under there without any luck. Anyone know exactly which connection (and whats it look like) that could have caused this?

I cleaned all the grounds under the hood, took the instrument cluster out and inspected/cleaned connections, replaced battery, etc. when mine goes out i still have blinkers/hazards, warning lamps, but the mileage displays "No Bus" and i don't know

mines a 2000, let me know if you can find the problem with yours.

First I would (just to be safe) check the fuses. Thats what was wrong with mine. Second thing I would do is maybe take the cluster out to see if one of those connectors might have gotten loose? Third thing I would do if that didnt work is check the grounds like XtremeJeep said.

Check your manual for the correct fuse to check.

Yeah a few different fuses were blown. I ended up taking to a shop b/c I don't like that many fuses going at once. Turns out there were quite a few open wires deep in the dash (probably from when my radio was stolen).
