I bought a tranny cooler the other day and I plan on installing it tomorrow, but before I do I got a couple questions. Which line is the return and wich line is the sending line. Also I would like to install a gauge to monitor the temp, how would I go about installing one? Heres a pic of the cooler I bought and the 2 tranny lines, the bottom one is a little hard to see, which one is wich ?

The top metal line, at the rad, is the cooled fluid returning to the tranny. That's the line u want to splice your aftermarket auxiliary cooler into for max cooling. Circulation will be from tranny to factory cooler in rad, to aftermarket cooler, back to tranny. Temp gauge sending unit should be mounted in the metal line, as close as possible to where it exits the tranny, to get the most accurate reading.

I just installed mine, the top is the return line and that will be the one you want to cut. I ended up cutting the Rubber part of the line down by the pulleys. It was real easy and did the job just right. Doesnt take long to plumb it, took more effort getting the cooler in place on the condenser.

Ok, so top line is the line that goes back to the tranny and the bottem line is the hot line that is returning back to the rad correct?

Yes, hot fluid from the tranny enters the rad at the bottom, exits at the top to be returned back to the tranny.

Ok, so when I install it, I should cut the top line and have the tube coming from the rad go to the cooler then the tube from the cooler go back to the tranny line, so I dont evn touch the bottem line correct?
