Anyone have photos of installing tow hooks on a stock 99 XJ. where to bolt to? Adapter needed?

 

first you need a set of brackets to bolt to the frame. don't just bolt hooks to the frame, they will just tear out and injure someone.
you could either get these...


or better yet, these...


and bolt them up like this...


i prefer d-shackles just because it keeps the strap from being pierced through the hook.

 

yeah i was looking at these ^ but theyre expensive. any way to get a cheaper bracket?
